Hello from Santa Monica!
As always, it's been a busy past few months for me. During the month of June, I showed four of my photographs at the Cityscapes,
Landscapes & InBetween show at jFERRARI Gallery in Atwater, California. I've also been steadily working on some of my long term projects that I hope to be wrapping up soon. I'm also
madly prepping for another gallery show at the end of July that's going to be in Hollywood, California (see announcement below).

I'll be showing five of my "Wax" prints in the upcoming Create:Fixate 2007 all-photography show, Backscatter. The
show runs one night only from 7pm-2am on Saturday, July 28th in Hollywood, California. For more information, visit
www.createfixate.com. If you happen to be in the Los Angeles area that night, please drop by and check it out.

Those of you who have been to my website, www.liquidimagephotography.com, lately have noticed
big changes to my online galleries. Not only have I unveiled a completely new design for the galleries, but I've added a ton of new work as well. If you haven't visited lately, please
check it out.

In late May I shot a large number of images for my abstract project on "defocused" architecture in and around downtown Los Angeles and am
in the process of editing them and finding additional locations that fit the aesthetic I'm reaching for. I've also been plugging away on a few other projects that I hope to be wrapping up
in the not-too-distant future.

Canopy
- Washington, D.C., 2005 -
I spent the better part of a day beating the pavement in and around Washington, D.C. back in September of 2005 searching for interesting
photographic subjects. On wandering the Capitol Mall, I came upon a bunch of empty tents that were being erected for an upcoming book fair. These tents, being composed of stretched canvas
supported by multiple poles, provided some really eye-catching geometry for a photograph. I quickly snapped a few shots and moved on to explore other areas. Canopy, the image that came out of
that quick foray into the tents was pushed just a bit in the "darkroom" to pop the colors a bit. However, most of what you see is a pretty direct representation of what light was available when
I shot the photograph. This print is currently on display in my online "Geometry" gallery.
Best Regards,
Walt Jones
