
Hello from Santa Monica!
I just finished up the "darkroom" work on a new series of images I initially
started a few months ago. The basic idea was to take liquid wax, mix it
with cold water and photograph the result. After much experimentation, I
ultimately ended up using two methods for the final shots. One involved swirling the water
at high speed while dumping the wax into it. The other involved "pulling"
the hot wax by hand through the water to create delicate, translucent ribbons. Here's a quick sampling of the final images:
