What happens when liquid-hot wax meets ice-cold water? Some of these creations came from stirring the water and pushing poured wax as it congealed. Others grew from dipping hands to pull the hardening wax through the water, forming translucent ribbons. Carefully lifted to dry land, the surprisingly solid results reflected and broke the light into shadows and glowing highlights.

Prints in this series are made using an interpretive process where pigmented inks are applied directly to heavyweight European cotton rag paper. This delivers a presentation that is unlike most traditional photographs, giving the image an almost velvety texture that creates an immediate tactile connection with the viewer.

Original photographs are available for individual purchase and can also be displayed together as an exhibition. The images are available in two sizes:

16" x 20" archival pigment inks printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag (308g), offered in a limited edition of 25, signed and numbered on recto. Prices start at $500.

24" x 36" archival pigment inks printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag (308g), offered in a limited edition of 25, signed and numbered on recto. Prices start at $850.
